In fact, the majority of our “SPINE” patients do not require an actual operation to regain their quality of life. Many of our “BRAIN” patients similarly do not require a formal operation. We provide excellent case management/patient education by monitoring patients’ treatment courses and providing information to patients and their referral sources regarding the diagnostic/surgical processes. Physician extenders (e.g., nurses and PAs) are utilized to help the patient understand his/her diagnosis and plan of treatment. The cost effective delivery of care is important to us and we have ongoing efforts to improve health care delivery while monitoring health care costs. Our average length of inpatient hospital stay is 1-3 days for routine procedures.
